Having a citizenship with low status is a significant loss of opportunity in life for the affected individuals. Since Hacker News is a relatively international crowd, I’m sure that many of you can relate to this in one way or another. Should the UN try to create a political taboo (and in the long term, a ban) against sanctions towards general population when countries clash in diplomatic issues?
